Support on your terms
Accepting help with personal care can feel like a big step. Our carers understand that, so visits are led by you: your routine, your preferences and your pace. Nothing is rushed and nothing is decided for you.
Many people find that a little support at the start of the day gives them the energy and confidence for everything else, from a walk to the shops to a morning at a local group.
What personal care can include
- Washing, bathing and showering
- Help with dressing and undressing
- Hair, skincare, shaving and grooming
- Oral care and denture care
- Support with continence and toileting
- Getting up in the morning and settling at night
- Moving around the home safely
- Prompting and support with medication
Visits can also include time out of the house, from appointments and shopping to a walk or a favourite local group.

Common questions
Will I have the same carer every visit?
We aim to provide a small, consistent team of familiar carers wherever possible, so you see people you know and trust. Rotas, holidays and illness mean we cannot guarantee the exact same carer every visit, but we will always tell you if someone different is coming.
Can personal care be combined with other support?
Yes. Many people combine personal care with meal preparation, household support, companionship or help getting out and about. Visits are planned as one arrangement rather than separate services.
How long is a visit?
Our visits start from 30 minutes and can be longer depending on the support you need. We will discuss the most suitable visit length with you as part of your care assessment.

Newcastle upon Tyne, North Tyneside including North Shields, South Tyneside, Gateshead, Ponteland and selected communities across Northumberland such as Ashington & Blyth.
