What a Good rating means
A rating of Good means the Care Quality Commission found the service to be performing well and meeting its expectations across the areas it inspects.
It does not mean that nothing can ever go wrong. Quality still needs ongoing monitoring, and we continue to review care, listen to feedback and look for ways to improve.
How we maintain quality
Care planning and reviews
Care plans reflect the person's needs, preferences and goals, and are reviewed when circumstances change.
Carer training and competency
Carers complete training and competency checks appropriate to their role, with supervision and support from the office team.
Medication safety
Medication support is delivered in line with the person's care plan and the appropriate procedures for the level of support agreed.
Care records
Care visits are recorded and monitored using digital care systems, so information stays up to date and accessible to the team.
Quality audits
Care records, medication records, incidents and other areas of service quality are reviewed as part of ongoing quality assurance.
Listening and learning
Feedback, concerns, complaints and incidents are used to identify where improvements may be needed.
